Terms of Service
Please read these Terms of Service carefully before using PDFMaster's free online PDF and image conversion tools. By accessing our service, you agree to be bound by these terms.
The Short Version
The three most important things you need to know before using PDFMaster
Free, Forever
PDFMaster is completely free to use with no hidden fees, subscriptions, or paywalls. We will never charge you for core browser-based tools.
Your Files, Your Device
All PDF and image processing happens entirely in your browser. We never receive, store, or access any files you work with on PDFMaster.
Fair Use Required
You may use PDFMaster for lawful purposes only. You must not use our service to process illegal content or attempt to harm the platform.
1 Overview
Welcome to PDFMaster ("we", "us", "our"), a free online toolkit for PDF and image conversion available at pdfmaster.co.in. PDFMaster offers a suite of 21+ browser-based tools including PDF to JPG conversion, Photo to PDF, PDF merging, PDF splitting, PDF reordering, metadata removal, and more — all processed entirely on your device.
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of PDFMaster's website and services. By visiting pdfmaster.co.in or using any of our tools, you agree to be bound by these Terms in their entirety. If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, you must not use our service.
In plain English: PDFMaster is a free tool. Use it responsibly and for lawful purposes. Your files are processed 100% on your device and never sent to our servers.
2 Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using PDFMaster (the "Service"), you confirm that you are at least 13 years of age (or 16 where required under applicable law), and that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated herein by reference.
These Terms apply to all visitors, users, and others who access or use the Service, regardless of whether they create an account (note: PDFMaster does not require account creation).
Your continued use of PDFMaster after any amendments to these Terms constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. We recommend bookmarking this page and checking it periodically.
3 Use of Service
PDFMaster grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to access and use the Service strictly in accordance with these Terms. The Service is provided free of charge for personal and commercial use subject to the conditions below.
Permitted Uses
- Converting, compressing, merging, splitting, reordering, or otherwise processing PDF and image files for personal or business purposes
- Using any and all tools made available on pdfmaster.co.in, including all current and future tools marked as "Live"
- Accessing the Service from any device, browser, or operating system without restriction
- Using PDFMaster for commercial document workflows, provided the content processed is legally owned or licensed by you
- Sharing or recommending PDFMaster to others for their own use
Service Availability
We strive to keep PDFMaster available 24/7, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The Service may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, updates, or factors outside our control. We will endeavour to provide advance notice of planned downtime on our Announcement Page.
Because PDFMaster processes files entirely on your device using browser-based JavaScript, the availability of individual tool features may depend on your browser's capabilities and the version of your operating system.
4 Prohibited Uses
You agree that you will not use PDFMaster for any purpose that is unlawful, harmful, or prohibited by these Terms. Specifically, you must not:
- Use the Service to process, distribute, or facilitate access to content that is illegal, defamatory, obscene, or fraudulent
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, disassemble, or derive the source code of any software underlying the Service
- Use automated bots, scrapers, crawlers, or scripts to access the Service in a manner that places excessive load on our infrastructure
- Attempt to circumvent, disable, or interfere with any security features, access controls, or technical protections of the Service
- Impersonate any person, entity, or organisation, or falsely claim affiliation with PDFMaster
- Use the Service in any manner that could damage, disable, or impair the functionality of the website or other users' access
- Reproduce, copy, resell, or commercially exploit any part of the Service without our express written permission
- Upload, transmit, or link to malware, viruses, or other malicious code through any mechanism connected to the Service
- Use the Service to infringe any intellectual property rights, privacy rights, or contractual obligations of any third party
Important: Violation of these prohibited use policies may result in immediate termination of your access to PDFMaster and, where required by law, notification to relevant authorities.
5 Intellectual Property
PDFMaster's IP
The PDFMaster website, its design, layout, source code, tool logic, branding, graphics, text, and all other original content are the intellectual property of PDFMaster and are protected by applicable copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. All rights are reserved.
The name "PDFMaster", the PDFMaster logo, and all related trademarks and service marks are owned by PDFMaster. You must not use these marks without our prior written consent, except to accurately refer to and link to our Service in a non-misleading manner.
Your Content
You retain full ownership of all files, documents, and content that you process using PDFMaster. Because all processing occurs entirely on your device and no files are transmitted to our servers, you do not grant PDFMaster any licence over your content by using the Service.
You represent and warrant that you own or have the necessary rights and licences to use any content you process through PDFMaster, and that such use does not infringe the rights of any third party.
Open-Source Libraries
PDFMaster's tools rely on open-source libraries including PDF.js (Apache 2.0), pdf-lib (MIT), and jsPDF (MIT), among others. These libraries retain their original licences. Our use of these libraries does not grant you any additional rights over them beyond what is already provided by their respective licences.
6 Disclaimers
The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without warranty of any kind, express or implied. To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, PDFMaster disclaims all warranties, including but not limited to:
- Accuracy: We do not guarantee that tool outputs — converted PDFs, extracted images, or other processed files — will be error-free, pixel-perfect, or suitable for every intended purpose
- Uninterrupted Service: We do not warrant that the Service will be continuously available, secure, or free from errors or defects
- Fitness for Purpose: We make no warranty that the Service will meet your specific requirements or produce results to your exact specifications
- Browser Compatibility: While we support all major browsers, we cannot guarantee identical results across every browser version, device, or operating system combination
- Data Integrity: Although files are processed on-device and never uploaded, we recommend keeping backups of important documents before processing
Nothing in these disclaimers shall exclude or limit any warranty implied by law that it would be unlawful to exclude or limit.
7 Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, PDFMaster, its owners, developers, employees, and affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to:
- Loss of data, profits, revenue, goodwill, or business
- Damage caused by reliance on outputs generated by the Service
- Damage resulting from unauthorised access to or alteration of your content, where such access occurs outside the scope of our Service
- Any matter beyond our reasonable control, including browser failures, device crashes, or network interruptions during on-device processing
In jurisdictions where limitation of liability for consequential or incidental damages is not permitted, our liability shall be limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.
Because PDFMaster is provided entirely free of charge, our total aggregate liability to you for any claim arising out of or related to these Terms or your use of the Service shall not exceed INR 50 (Fifty Rupees Indian Only).
8 Privacy & Data Processing
Your privacy is fundamental to how PDFMaster works, not an afterthought. All file processing — PDF conversion, image transformation, metadata removal, and every other tool function — happens entirely inside your browser using client-side JavaScript. At no point are your files transmitted to, processed by, or stored on any PDFMaster server.
We do not require you to create an account, provide your email address, or supply any personal information to use any tool on PDFMaster. Your use of the Service is anonymous by design.
We may collect minimal, anonymised usage analytics (e.g. page views, general device type) through trusted third-party services. These analytics do not identify individual users and do not include any file content or names.
For full details, please read our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms.
9 Third-Party Links & Resources
PDFMaster may contain links to third-party websites, services, or resources (for example, CDN-hosted libraries, documentation sites, or external references). These links are provided for convenience only and do not imply endorsement or affiliation.
We have no control over the content, privacy practices, or policies of any third-party websites. We strongly encourage you to review the terms and privacy policies of any third-party sites you visit via links from PDFMaster. We accept no responsibility or liability for any content, practices, or damage arising from your interaction with third-party services.
Our tools load open-source processing libraries from reputable CDN providers (Cloudflare, jsDelivr). These CDNs may set their own cookies or collect minimal access logs in accordance with their own policies.
10 Termination
PDFMaster reserves the right to restrict, suspend, or terminate access to the Service — in whole or in part — at our sole discretion, at any time and without prior notice, if we believe you have violated these Terms or applicable law, or if your usage materially impacts the performance or availability of the Service for other users.
Because PDFMaster does not require user accounts, "termination" in practical terms means blocking access from specific IP addresses, networks, or user agents where abuse has been detected.
You may stop using the Service at any time. Because we collect no personal data and store no files, there is nothing to delete or close upon discontinuing use.
Provisions of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination — including intellectual property, disclaimers, limitations of liability, and governing law — shall remain in full force after any termination.
11 Governing Law & Jurisdiction
These Terms of Service shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India, specifically the relevant provisions of the Information Technology Act, 2000 (as amended), the Indian Contract Act, 1872, and other applicable Indian legislation, without regard to conflict-of-law provisions.
Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms, including any question regarding their existence, validity, or termination, shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Bihar, India only..
If you are accessing PDFMaster from outside India, you do so on your own initiative and are responsible for compliance with any local laws applicable to your use of the Service. Nothing in these Terms limits your statutory consumer rights under the laws of your country.
12 Changes to These Terms
We reserve the right to modify or update these Terms at any time. When we make material changes, we will:
- Update the "Last updated" date shown at the top of this page
- Post a prominent notice on the PDFMaster Announcement page for at least 30 days following the change
- Where required by applicable law, seek your express consent before the new Terms take effect
Your continued use of PDFMaster after the effective date of any revised Terms constitutes your acceptance of the changes. If you disagree with any updated Terms, please discontinue use of the Service.
Previous versions of these Terms are available on request — please use our contact page to obtain a copy.
